The Loire Museum has proposed to the students of the ULIS section of the Claude Tillier College of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire to participate in the la Classe l'œuvre program during the Night of Museums 2022. The museum's new exhibition event is in the spotlight this year: Reflections of earthenware, the Loire for decoration

The exhibition invites visitors to explore life in the Loire region in correlation with the history of earthenware. With first a didactic approach to manufacturing and decoration techniques and then a discovery of the different activities related to the river via a thematic tour. Two fundamental aspects of Nivernaise culture are thus highlighted: the Loire and earthenware, as well as the links that exist between the two.

During several sessions at the museum and in the exhibition, the students discovered the history and techniques of earthenware and then the Loire themes that inspired the potters of Nevers to create these essential decorative art objects: Loire crafts, Loire boats and navigation, beliefs and symbols of sailors, landscapes and constructions
