The Musée de la Loire offers you a golden opportunity to admire its river Loire and Fine Arts collections, which are exhibited in a historical monument: the former Augustinian convent.

The first section thrusts you into a journey of discovery through the history of one of Europe’s longest rivers, its navigation, its bargemen and those who live alongside it, while the second section, which is dedicated to fine arts, comprises an exceptional collection of modern paintings by famous artists such as Chagall, Dufy, Vlaminck, Utrillo and Derain.

The Musée de la Loire has been designated as a “Musée de France” [National Museum of France] by the French Ministry of Culture.
